Kiwi e-commerce firm Debitsuccess is expanding its payment solutions operation into the US, the company has announced.
The international growth comes as the Auckland-based business prepares to celebrate its 20 year anniversary, and caps off a busy 12 months for the company which acquired UK direct billing providers Harlands and DFC.
Debitsuccess chief executive Craig Marshall said the move to establish a San Francisco operation will further build the company's capability in offshore markets.
"We'll be focused on replicating our successful Debitsuccess billing platform, servicing both the fitness and non-fitness sectors in America," Marshall said.
Debitsuccess handles about $2 billion worth of collections a year from two million customers in Australasia and the UK, and Marshall said their 100-seat call centre on Auckland's North Shore will also begin servicing customers in the US.
"The needs of our customers, especially on the west coast of America, will see us extend the hours of our call centre to suit their timeframes, and which moves our call centre closer to a 24 hour operation," he said.
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise is providing guidance to assist the establishment of the business in the US and a senior executive from Debitsuccess New Zealand's office will relocate to San Francisco in coming months.
